Hey all!
I was always fascinated about history of technology, in particular in mobile phone history. Today is a day when Nokia lumia 900 is lunched in UK, nokia's most advanced top of the range device, which should compete with Apple iphone 4s or Samsung Galaxy S2. I don't want to dwell much about specs as nothing amazing compare to other phones this device has. Overall today's mobile phones are so advanced, that it is getting harder and harder to surprise today's consumer. In my opinion it is all about performance and maybe few apps :D

NOKIA LUMIA 900
But found a 1985 nokia mobile phone picture which i wanted to share and of course to compare with today's flag ship device from nokia.

Very first cell/mobile phone call just 92.50 per minute

By 1930, telephone customers in the United States could place a call to a passenger on a liner in the Atlantic Ocean. Air time charges were quite high, at $7(1930)/minute (about $92.50/minute in 2011 dollars).  In areas with Marine VHF radio and a shore station, it is still possible to arrange a call from the public telephone network to a ship, still using manual call set-up and the services of a human marine radio operator.
However it was the 1940s onwards that saw the seeds of technological development which would eventually produce the mobile phone that we know today. Motorola developed a backpacked two-way radio, the Walkie-Talkie and a large hand-held two-way radio for the US military. This battery powered "Handie-Talkie" (HT) was about the size of a man's forearm.

At 1930s you could make a call from landline to one of the atlantic liners

LG 900G Unlock solution!

LG 900G Unlock solution!

To unlock LG 900G is not as simple as most of the sites, who sells unlock codes claim. They give you an unlock code, but don't tell you how to enter unlock code on this model. On most LG phones all you have to do is type 2945#*xxx# where xxx is your model number, for exmaple LG S310 would be 2945#*310# or on some cases 2945#*71001#. This opens hidden menu where you can input unique unlock code. But some network operators have there unique firmware pre installed which has hidden menu function disabled. That gives a problem as how to input unlock code.
LG 900G is the same as LG GW300 (hence the image above found using different search names in google, try it) so firmware from GW300 will work on 900G since they are same phones. By flashing/installing firmware will allow you to enter hidden menu and input unlock code also will remove all the branding form phone and will look inside as if was bought de branded SIM free phone. How to do it?

First you need to flash/install firmware:

Software needed:

1. GSMulti (official lg software for flashing/installing firmwares)
2. MTK download settings (will enable you phone to install firmware on computer)
3. GW300_090625.dll (file used with gsmmulti software, to correctly install firmware in 900G phone.)
4. GW300AT-00-V10c-404-XXX-SEP-30-2009+0_TotalBin (firmware file)

Hardware needed:
1. Phone (LG900G)
2. Standard Micro USB cable which normally comes with a phone, or any other phone.

Look for links below to these files.

Step 1.
Install GSMmulti in to your PC
Step 2.
Than install MTK download settings
Step 3.
Install USB drivers. The Infinion USB driver and TI_Neptune drivers. Both drivers can be found in instalion folder of GSMulti tool ( default installion directory: go to My Computer > C: drive > GSMULTI > UsbDrivers)
Step 4.
Copy the firmware to GSMulti folder as well as GW300_090625.dll file
Step 5.
Restart your computer
Step 6.
Take the battery out of your phone plug your usb cable into your phone but NOT the computer
Launch USBMAP and select infinion at the top of a program window, press mapping start button and plug usb cable to the computer.  When usbmap finds your phone "press save and exit" button
Step 7.
Unplug usb cable form computer
Run GSMulti, go into configuration and select the Dll file and FLS files that are in the folder and select USB in port information and select ok
Step 8.
Click on start button, now flashing/installing firmware should start

Finally
Power your phone on without SIM and type 2945#*71001# and enter inlock codes.

how new iPad is called?

so how the new iPad is called??? iPad 3? iPad hd? or just The new iPad? seems to be we still have to wait for a name....

The new iPad 3 HD vs iPad 2

Well created some comparison table, Red means better than previous version, green means same and black means step back from previous version of iPad. Red covers improved retina display and camera. as iPad 2 owner I can tell than much waited improvement of camera is very welcome. Do not know about higher resolution screen, but idea probably to make reading more pleasant with smoother texts. this way, apple probably wants to compete with eBook readers such as kindle or similar. Also quad core processor (CPU) called A5X takes multitasking to a new levels for iPad users. Dimensions are the same just new Ipad got thicker by 6mm. Battery life was not compromised, which is great achievement by apple. if you do something at least do not make it worst. add some comments, tell me what you think about new ipad, was it worth the wait? stay tuned and you can always visit www.facebook.com/4fonecom and ask question there.
